Annual Lantern Ceremony
We invite you to join us on the eve of Patriot's Day for the Old North's Annual Lantern Ceremony commemorating the lighting of the two lanterns that signaled Paul Revere's momentous ride and the beginning of the American Revolution.

This year's ceremony will also be a celebration of emerging education in Boston. As the Old North launches new educational programming based on recent archive research, we are thrilled that Dr. Carol R. Johnson, the newly appointed Boston Public Schools Superintendent, will be our keynote speaker.

The evening will include a performance by the Michigan Colonial Fife & Drum corps, the USS Constitution Color Guard, the ringing of the Old North steeple bells, a reading of Longfellow's immortal poem, Paul Revere's Ride, music by the Old North Chamber Choir and a reenactment of the lighting of the two signal lanterns.

The Lantern Ceremony is on Sunday, April 20, at 8 p.m. Due to the event's popularity, we no longer have tickets available for this year's ceremony. Please try to join us next year!

The Lantern Ceremony is proudly sponsored by: The Citizens Bank Foundation.
