We are pleased to announce Will Stilwell as the June Educator of the Month. As a returning senior educator this season, Will has shown tremendous progress in his role. He serves as a positive example for our new educators to model, and his command of the content he delivers is impressive. The joy he finds in sharing history with others is evident any time you see him with our visitors. Make sure you stop by to say hi to Will or take a Behind-the-Scenes Tour with him!
“Will has made huge improvements over the past year! I’ve seen him engage tourists more, not only more, but with a ton of enthusiasm! He seems to be more of a leader than just an educator when he’s on the floor. He smiles and laughs often, making people at ease in his presence. When I ask for a hand, he always is more than willing to help out!”

Will joined the Old North education team in April of 2015. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a degree in history, and when he’s not at Old North he can be found giving tours of Fenway Park. Will is passionate about early American history, and specifically the history of Boston. He takes pride in explaining everything from the geography of Boston and how it relates to the Revolution to explaining the unique and more recent immigrant history of the North End. He especially enjoys sharing these stories and speaking to visitors with international backgrounds, because gaining a different perspective is good for both the educator and the visitor. Will plans to continue to work and hone his skills in museum education, and he looks forward to telling the stories of Old North Church to many visitors to come.
