Outreach 3rd Sunday Loose Plate Collections: Every third Sunday of the month, the loose plate offering (that is, any money received that is not otherwise designated as a pledge payment to the parish) is given to a pre-designated charitable ministry. Education and volunteer opportunities related to each quarterly designated ministry are also presented to the congregation to fully understand and appreciate what the particular organization does, the impact each has, and how we can help each organization beyond the walls of our church.
Piccoli Regali: A program designed to help our neighbors that are within reach of our beloved church and in need of sustenance and companionship. Initially we thought food was the missing ingredient in some neighbors’ lives. While true, we quickly learned the need for friendship and companionship was even more important! Each Saturday, from around December 1 through Holy Week, twenty or more new and steady friends come to our church to enjoy tea, coffee, and homemade cookies and pies served with great respect and affection by our volunteers. At the end of the gathering, we pass out bags of food consisting of local groceries and non-perishable goods. Our Piccoli Regali team members consist of ONC members, neighbors, co-workers, and friends. All are welcome to stop in, say hello, and join us for a cup of tea and some conversation. Contact the Parish office at (617) 523-6676 for more information about Piccoli Regali.
Members of the congregation whose ministry is to care for the altar, vestments, vessels, and altar linens of the parish. Altar Guild members prepare the sanctuary for services, and clean up afterwards.
